There is no need for a referral and no need for insurance authorization. As a private pay provider, we design a treatment plan that works for YOU, not the insurance company.

About Me

Hi, my name is Gabe May. I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy and the founder of GEM Physical Therapy.

I was born in Costa Rica, grew up in Connecticut, completed my DPT at Quinnipiac University, and currently live in East Lyme with my wife and 3 little ones. When I am not spending time with my family, you can find me playing soccer and watching my favorite teams.

I started GEM Physical Therapy because I strongly believe that the most effective care begins with listening to each patient — their concerns, goals, and what matters most to them. Having experience working in a busy outpatient clinic, I know that it can be difficult to get the one-on-one care you deserve.

My mission is simple: to help you move better, feel better, and keep doing what you love.
